'Hello lovelies, today I am showing you how to make easy shortcrust pastry in a food processor. Shortcrust pastry is one of the easiest pasty or dough you can ever make. It doesn\'t require and skill set and you don\'t have to knead it like you would with other types of dough recipes. You can also use your hands if you don\'t own a food processor Add the dry ingredients to a bowl and mix to combine, add the butter and mix together to form crumbs. use can use your hand to do this or use 2 butter knives. once the crumbs are formed, begin to add cold water and mix until the flour comes tother to form a dough. The key to making perfect, buttery, flaky and delicious shortcrust pastry is 1. Use cold ingredients, it might sound a little bit OTT but it is for the best. I do make an exception for the flour but refrigerate before use if you can. 2. Chill the dough, this will help relax the gluten. 30 minutes recommended. 3. chill the pastry just before cooking in the oven if need be, this matters if you live in a hot climate, the shortcrust pastry should not be sticky or sweaty when working with it.
